The season has one more week (though Miles already earned his participation medal). Here are the latest pics.

Now it was Miles’ turn to “graduate” from preschool. LuckilyUnfortunately, I had a meeting on campus, so I couldn’t attend this celebration.
Field day is what schools here do with their unused snow days. It makes sense that the state would over-schedule the school year because you never know how many days will be lost to to the weather, but you would think they could just let the kids out early if those extra days aren’t needed.
Well, you’d be wrong. So they pass the last week or so – literally – watching movies and playing games. Parents are invited to the official “Field Day,” where Ben participated in various relays.
And they won’t stay still for a picture.
I was cleaning off my computer when I found these images. After the first run at Ben’s Pinewood Derby, it was obvious that the judges needed some help. So I switch our camera to video and replayed each round to verify their call. Next year I’ll have a better camera with an LCD projector.

Ben gave me a large Fathers Day card he made at school. It was a worksheet with spaces for him to describe his dad and, by all accounts, he did so honestly:

My Dad’s name is… Jermey
My Dad likes to… Mow the lawn
My Dad has taught me… to drive the riding lawn mower
My Dad’s Favorite Sport… Tennis (He means Wii Sports Tennis. I haven’t swung a tennis racket in 20 years.)
My Dad’s Favorite Hobby… Play Wii!
My Dad helps me… Beat Super Mario Bros Courses
My Favorite Thing to Do with My Dad… Play Wii!
My Dad’s Favorite Food… Artichokes
My Favorite Memory… When my Dad had a shirt that said “Doctor.” He asked me what is said and I said, “Dork-tor.”
I love my Dad because… He is my Dad!

This is what happens when I get access to all the leftovers.

Brooke thought this was too cute: The twins were playing with their toy laptops and laughing at each other.

If you look carefully, you’ll see Isaac’s hand making a fist. Any guesses what he did with it?
